Somewhat Cartoonish

Copic markers on Bristol. Sized specifically to fit an 8x10 mat.
I actually got my mother-in-law to cut me out a sample couple of mats to size to; I’d tried to measure out Lambwitch so it would fit a standard mat, but alas… it failed.
Anyway. I think this little guy will work just fine for my purposes. :)

A drawing I made after deciding I was going to make something beautiful with Crayolas.

So I’ve spent a long time hearing that human offspring can’t be considered a baby until it’s born, that until that point it’s entirely the decision of the mother whether to keep it for any reason, and a lot of arguments like that.
Except, for some reason, if you want to terminate the pregnancy and remove this aforementioned parasitic clump of cells from the uterus you own and no one else can tell you what to do with … because it’s a girl. Then, suddenly, it’s immoral.
I have to admit, I don’t get it.

I think I’m finally getting happy with my use of color in certain circumstances…
Incidentally, I’ve got a couple of promising sketches from a late-night session at Denny’s tonight (I always seem to think better when I get out of the house!), so keep an eye on this space—I think the politics might be comin’ back soon.
(This one should  be on the Paradox of Thrift, specifically. Will try to have a good-quality preview in a day or two, as opposed to the VERY loose sketches I have right now.)

My response to some recent comments; some folks think that supporting a work-requirement for mothers on welfare is the same as saying that stay-at-home-mothers do not work. Here’s … why I don’t really think the two are talking concepts.

It’s been a while since I’ve done much of anything artistic at all… I thought I’d share this first foray back with you guys.

Anonymous asked: You're missing it so I'll spell it out for ya. The taxes you pay, payroll taxes, the taxes on your income? They don't count. Not for the talking point you slavishly expound upon, not for the lie you repeat over and over. Sorry kiddo, you're, "part of the problem," in the realm of political talking points. You're a Lucky Ducky who takes and takes and pays nothing in return. Now in reality you pay plenty, and so does 86% of the population, but that's not quite as tasty soundbyte to swallow.

…okay!

Back to comics! ‘Cause I know that’s what you folks are actually here for. :)

Anonymous asked: I saw your latest comment. So that means you are clearly part of the 47%. You just want to bash the 99% movement. That's fine. But like many of the 53% people, you're no federal income taxpayer. You're just pretending to be so you can claim some sort of moral high ground. Perhaps your counter-movement should change its name to something more accurate.

what?

Anonymous asked: You aren't the 53%, you are part of the "50% of people who don't pay taxes." Why do you lie?

I’m unmarried and without children. This pretty much limits me to the standard deduction. It’s not very hard to reach that particular bar. So you know.
